Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga

This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience, where you will move in a way that feels right for your body. This allows progression in every class in a safe and mindful way. My style of yoga is influenced from the training and many workshops I have attended. Each class flows between classical hatha yoga postures, synchronising movement with the breath. Awareness is drawn to how our bodies are meant to move, just like when we were children, remember that ease.

The class provides an active way to stretch and strengthen the body. Brining attention to posture and how we move in and out of movements.

The breath is so important in yoga and every class brings students back to their body, to the moment. With this awareness comes empowerment and we can make conscious choices about how we think and how are bodies are always conveying sensations when we take the time to listen.

Every class ends with relaxation. This time allows the body to settle and shift into a new mold. It’s a chance to surrender and for you to take some quiet space from the outside world.

I teach what feels right in my body having worked through injury and illness. I am not naturally flexible and appreciate that people come to yoga with all their history and anatomy and each of us is very different. I often get asked, I am not bendy can I do yoga? The answer is yes, you can. Make the movement yours and enjoy the opening of the body as you work through every class.
